Welcome to LakesUK, the source of tourist information about the Lake District in the UK.

We have information about towns in the lake district, accommodation, what to do, what to see, great days out.

Information is arranged by town or area, Click on the area or town of interest then the information you're looking for.

Under accommodation you will find guest houses, bed and breakfast, self catering, country guest houses, hotels and a variety of other establishments.In each case the information has been supplied by the operator.

We are always on the lookout for new tourist information, or any other information about towns and places in the lake district. We would be particularly interested to hear form you if you have photographs of the lakes, old ones are very welcome. Also stories walks, recommendations or comments in general.

Latest news - lakesuk.com redesign in progress. Lakesuk, one of the first information and accommodation portals covering the UK lake district is being redesigned as a database driven website. In future proprietors of accommodation with be able to create their own accounts and add details of their properties to the website instantly where they will be displayed free of charge for a trial period. People looking for accommodation will be able to search in a variety of ways, including an interactive map, then make enquiries using a form. To protect the email addresses of advertisers a form-based enquiry system will be used so that spambots will not be able to collect email addresses.

Advertisers will be able to view statistics showing how many times their property has been viewed and how many enquiries have been generated.
