The Dukes costume sale October 2011

The Dukes held a costume sale on 22nd October 2011.

There were hundreds of part and whole costumes available from a few pounds including items from recent shows including Quicksand and last year's Christmas production, The Snow Queen.

LakesUK.com photographer Alan Chard was recently given a guided tour of costume store at The Dukes and exclusive access to bring you a sneak peak of costumes that may be on the racks at the costume sale. The hardest thing for wardrobe staff is deciding which of the thousands of costumes to keep. The racks are literally busting full, at times it was a struggle to push down the narrow aisles and certainly a challenge to produce photographs that show the extent of the costumes. If you think your wardrobe at home is full then imagine a warehouse floor bursting at the seams and you get some idea of the task facing the staff.
