PRESS RELEASE [March 2000]

Talking Heads is the second production of the year at the Dukes. Loved by millions on TV, Talking Heads by Alan Bennett are brought to life on the Dukes stage. Each of the three stories offers the actors a challenging opportunity to create the character's intimate world, coloured by her or his own insights, cares and concerns.

A Lady of Letters features Lancaster-based actor Sarah Thurstan as compulsive letter writer Irene Ruddock.

A chip of sugar features Paul McCrink who is playing mild mannered Graham, who lives with his mother.

Bed among the lentils features Susan as a reluctant vicar's wife. Susan is played by Roberta Kerr who is best known for her roles in coronation Street (Wendy Crozier) and Emmerdale (Jan Glover).

Talking Heads is directed by Ian Hastings and designed by Terry Brown.

The play runs until 8th April [2000] with performances Tuesdays to Saturdays and tickets are available from the Dukes on 01524 66645.
