Cockermouth
Cockermouth is about 13km (8miles) inland from Workington. Personally I always expect to find places ending in mouth at the point where a river meets the sea.
Cockermouth's claim to fame is that William Wordsworth was born there in 1770. The house where he was born is still there on the main street. There are many original features still in the house.
There is a museum of printing which contains a variety of machines and other equipment.
